Per-Capita Gasoline Consumption in Pacific Northwest Fell 5% in 2008; Down 15% Since 1999

The states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho cut back their per-capita gasoline consumption by 5% in 2008, according to a new analysis by the Sightline Institute. Total gasoline use fell by 180 million gallons in those Pacific Northwest states. gallons of gasoline per week, down from 8.6 gallons in 2007.

Polk: 35% of hybrid owners buying hybrids again

Mn/DOT assessing potential for mileage-based user fee to replace fuel tax; Battelle conducting technology assessment
