Highway vehicles are responsible for a declining share of pollutants in the US, according to data gathered by the US Department of Energy (DOE). More than half of all carbon monoxide (CO) emissions in 2002 were from highway vehicles; by 2016 that fell to 30%.

Canada publishes proposed regulations for criteria pollutants from locomotives

Study finds shipping emissions in East Asia contribute to up to 37.5K premature deaths each year

A study by a team of researchers from China and the US has shown that shipping emissions in East Asia accounted for 16% of global shipping CO 2 in 2013, compared to only 4–7% in 2002–2005. Attention on ships and ports has increased as seaborne trade has grown significantly in recent decades.

CMU team identifies IVOCs emissions from on-road gasoline vehicles and small off-road engines as important SOA precursors
