Toyota Europe Q1 hybrid sales up 82.3% for 20% of total sales; Auris Hybrid the leader

Cumulative sales of Toyota and Lexus full hybrid models in Europe since 2000 reached 544,184 units at the end of March 2013, contributing to some 10% of Toyota’s global full hybrid sales. The European automotive industry is still experiencing an increasingly shrinking market. Toyota in France posted a 3.2% fall in the market overall.

Rolls-Royce and Svitzer demo world’s first remotely operated commercial vessel; testing autonomous operation

The Svitzer Hermod , a Robert Allan ship design, was built in Turkey at the Sanmar yard in 2016. The vessel is also equipped with a pair of MTU 16V4000 M63 diesel engines from Rolls-Royce, each rated 2000 kW at 1800 rpm. It is equipped with a Rolls-Royce Dynamic Positioning System, which is the key link to the remote controlled system.
