How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG). If we optimistically assume the average US fuel economy is 25 miles per gallon, at $3.00 The high demand for the Honda Civic hybrid tell us its at least $3,000.
