Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) unveiled the production version of the i-MiEV electric vehicle on World Environment Day in Tokyo. Mitsubishi Motors expects to distribute, on a maintenance lease basis, some 1,400 i-MiEV units in fiscal 2009 principally to corporations and to local authorities. The i-MiEV system configuration.

When I got back from Japan in 2000 I didn’t want to start a computer business. In 2000 there couldn’t have been too many old timers in the solar industry. Sharp and Mitsubishi has done a little. But when a customer calls me and says, “Do you install Mitsubishi panels?” Then I know Mitsubishi is doing its job.

O’Brien and Toyota sounded a more cautious note than Brian Verprauskus from Nissan, who discussed Nissan’s LEAF vehicle and program; David Patterson from Mitsubishi on the i-MiEV; and JB Straubel from Tesla Motors.
