California Air Resources Board studies show that battery electric vehicles emit at least 67% lower greenhouse gases than gasoline cars -- even more assuming renewables. In some areas where wind and hydropower is wasted at night, the rate can be as low as 2-3 cents per kWh. Thats 20-25 cents a gallon. Why Pay More for a PHEV?

They only have that many models because they use the same chassis and drivetrain to build 3 different cars, one branded as a Chevy, the next a Pontiac, then a Saturn, etc. If our country is going to spend money like a drunk sailor we should have spent it on building renewable energy power plants like Wind and Geothermal.
