The All American "Spirit of DC" was joined in PluginSolutions row by Todd Barlow's Green Motors' PHEV with 4kW lead acid battery pack and Phoenix Electric Auto Association President, Jim Stack's 10kW "Big Kahune" Li-ion pack, which is capable of a 30-40 all electric range, and clearly demonstrates the capability of 101MPG assisted by electricity.

Level III charging stations provide 480 volts of direct current, allowing an electric car to charge in about a half hour. Level II charging stations provide 240 volts of alternating current, allowing an electric car to charge in about four hours. Phoenix Contact Inc. Understanding Ohm’s Law of resistance, the basics of current, amps and volts, not to mention the concepts of alternating current, Kirchhoff’s Circuit laws and the many fun equations that spell it all out - if you happen to read and understand those hieroglyphics - had me feeling pretty damn ignorant and out of my element.

He and Charlie put in a FatBoy Harley Davidson rear tire with belt drive to a 72 volt motor. Another victory for nerves of steel.
