Eaton signs long-term agreement with Argentine bus manufacturer TATSA to design and supply hybrid systems

The alliance will produce six preproduction units initially, followed by a production plan to manufacture 20 additional units in 2011. The hybrid system combines a Cummins diesel engine with an electric motor that has a peak power output of 44 kW. The company is also planning to set up another plant in Fort Valley, GA in 2011.

SAIC-GM-Wuling to Export Mini-Commercial Vehicles to South America, Middle East and North Africa

SAIC-GM-Wuling will export Wuling N200 series and Wuling N300 series products. Under an earlier agreement, SAIC-GM-Wuling began exporting the N200 to Peru in July 2008 as the Chevrolet N200. SAIC-GM-Wuling, a joint venture between GM China, SAIC and Wuling Motors, was launched in 2002.
