On Tuesday, ARB held a public workshop , with EPA’s participation, to discuss the SCR system attributes that will be evaluated during staff’s review of an application for certification. SCR is currently the primary NO x control strategy for heavy-duty on-road engines.

CA, NY, MA and other states have had Zero-Emission Vehicle programs since the early 1990s because battery electric vehicles in those states, taking into account power plants, are far cleaner than gasoline cars in reducing urban air pollution and smog.

Well, besides the aforementioned EV incentives , it’s mostly fuel savings and lower maintenance costs. Keep in mind that repairing or replacing the motor of a fuel car can cost up to $10.000 and, all things considered, EVs simply require fewer visits to workshops and are much cheaper to own. Are EVs as fast as fuel cars?
