Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) launched Project Get Ready , an initiative that emerged from its Smart Garage Summit in October 2008 and that is intended to help communities prepare for plug-in vehicles including full battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and converted hybrid or internal combustion vehicles.

Ford plug-in hybrid owners are operating in electric mode nearly 60% of the time, according to new aggregate data collected from Ford’s MyFord Mobile app. The top five most active regions for charge station searches are San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and the northeast corridor. The contest asked a lot from the teams that entered: They had to provide a timeline of events from now until 2045 that includes the invention of artificial general intelligence (AGI), two “day in the life” short stories, answers to a list of questions, and a media piece reflecting their imagined world.

Northwest Battery here in portland highly recommended Discover EV31a-a and FullRiver group 31 batteries over the Dekas as well, but they also cost more. I took notes on the conference in case people want to see a huge list of factoids. All the buses in both states now use Odyssey group 31 batteries and have not had any issues.

A couple weeks ago, I read about the Rocky Mountain Institute’s gathering of EV interests in Portland for “Smart Garage.&# is where I feel Plug In America should be involved. Amory Lovins. But the key problem remains the lack of cars in the showroom. No one else represents the voice of EV users like we do.
