They only have that many models because they use the same chassis and drivetrain to build 3 different cars, one branded as a Chevy, the next a Pontiac, then a Saturn, etc. GM killed that car because of back room deals with oil companies, and now they expect us to believe that they are just so cutting edge now? It is 12 years later.

It is also flex so that future biomass fuels such as cellulosic ethanol, methanol can be used (no oil). Also maintenance on these (no oil changes to speak of) etc will cost much less than an internal combution propelled car.
