Toyota made the car, the Prius, that made plug-in conversions possible, and now they are trying to rein in the desires unleashed. Calcars continues to work with the Electric Auto Association members to bring a do-it-yourself kit to hybrid owners with moxie. HybridsPlus and EDrive have converted cars.

Electric car supporters are rising to defend General Motors’ development of the Chevy Volt after the Obama Administration’s automotive task force proclaimed that the car was probably too expensive to be commercially successful in the near future. Do the simple math, Obama (ho,ho) and learn just how stupid thou really art.

Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. Many of the first Prius hybrids that were released are still running strong on their NiMH batteries after 100,000+ miles. — jerryd 7.

The Obama Administration doesnt understand that. " President Obamas auto task force doesnt see it that way. But GM says it wont get the money until the Obama administration is satisfied the company is financially viable.
