These V2H/V2G-enabled vehicles offer some three to 10 days powering the fridge and lights in case the power goes down. In case of power outage at home, the DC pins in the charger can send juice back into the house, keeping the lights on. And that’s much cheaper than a new $1,300 kit.

It is simply a unit of measurement that equals the amount of energy you would use if you kept a 1,000 watt appliance running for an hour: So if you switched on a 100 watt light bulb, it would take 10 hours to rack up 1 kWh of energy. In March 2020 we installed 9 solar panels an inverter and 2 battery packs. So much for power.

Jo has done an excellent job of "pimping" the ride, the original kit from Blue Sky Designs in Oregon. In our haste, we unfortunately installed the steering backwards. The light turns green. This will provide some, but not all, of the juice needed to keep the FunRunintheSun going 200 miles per day. Charlie floors it.

Also, there is a blue LED that lights up below the appropriate gear as soon as it is selected. Madan has got 15 A sockets installed at all the hospitals he works with - so whilst Madan is at work in his surgery, a 15 A socket is doing its work with his Nexon. Kamlesh and Sanjay had some light snacks at the local A2B Udupi restaurant.
