Of course, being Stellantis, they don’t seem to be going “all in” on EVs like they have been saying , but are offering these models using a “unique multi-energy platform ” to “ensure maximum relevance to customers wherever they live in the world” – meaning they may be built as electric, hybrid, or ICE, depending on what works best for the market.

The cord that comes with the car just might suffice for many, especially plug-in hybrids which have smaller battery packs. I am pleased to participate in the EV Project, which came late to the San Francisco Bay Area, and happy to get my tax-payer funded charger and DC Fast port. They’ve kept my LEAF juiced, after all.

When the all-electric Kia Niro was introduced in 2019 it followed the 2017 Niro hybrid and then the 2018 Niro plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Juicing up. We have reviewed the hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles from the company, and have been impressed with them all.
