Chevrolet also just improved the Bolt EV, and an electric version of the Silverado pickup using Ultium batteries will be available in 2023 or 2024, with a range of 400 miles.

GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
