Email Japan Accounts for 70% of Electric Vehicle Patents A new report from Japan's Patent Office has found that the country comprises most of the patents for electric vehicles, which include EVs, hybrids and fuel cell vehicles. by: Tech-On! by: Tech-On! They do not include railway electric cars, which do not have wheels.

I coordinate MAEAA’s monthly meetings in a hybrid format. I personally have had over 400 people drive my cars in order to show them the true experience. Continued support and educating people; especially people who are skeptic about pulling more electricity from the dirty grids who are using fossil fuels to power EV charge stations.

Diesel hybrid buses have brought that up a bit, but nowhere near the 50 mile per gallon level. Technically, buses based on the MESA will be serial hybrids, similar to the Chevy Volt , because they will drive on electricity but use a gas generator to recharge. Most buses get about three to five miles a gallon.

The electric grid is the most advanced energy-distribution network ever created and is constantly only a few feet away from us (far more ubiquitous than gas/ethanol/hydrogen stations). The first step was the hybrid, which proved to the world that electric power can reduce gas consumption.

The government will make direct grants to automakers (as we do, of course) and also provide “subsidies of up to $8,800 are being offered to taxi fleets and local government agencies in 13 Chinese cities for each hybrid or all-electric vehicle they purchase.” You are not logged in.
