A Lincoln electric SUV based on Rivian's "skateboard" chassis, and intended to be built at the startup's Illinois factory, has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The news was first reported by Automotive News, and subsequently confirmed by Lincoln and Rivian to Green Car Reports.

Rivian does expect a pandemic-related delay for the R1T electric pickup and R1S electric SUV, which were due to be produced starting late this year, the company confirmed to Green Car Reports Wednesday.
