I have to admit, I was a bit surprised when GM announced that it would start its new Ultium battery-powered electric vehicle push with the GMC Hummer EV. Considering its size, weight, and efficiency, the Hummer EV could be described as a vehicle that is, for all intents and purposes, made to be a symbol of excess and consumption.

Exclusive rights are granted to Harman Becker to manufacture the latest technology solutions for the worldwide vehicle OEM market. Nonetheless, I do agree that it wastes of energy, reduces range and should NOT be mandatory. We always seem to hear that one coming from a mile away. I know this and I speak for them. because I am one.

So much more convenient than having to take time out of my day and go out of my way (wasting more energy) to get a charge elsewhere or do battery swaps. Companies like ECOtality are already working with Nissan, which seems to have given up on battery swapping. Reply ↓ ↑ report 15 Ken 2:04AM (4/10/2009) I want to charge at home.

We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. Why grant them the privledge to spend our money in the first place? Commendation, absolutely, but GM needs to make sure their company continues on to make sure that money doesnt just go to waste.
