Road Test: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe PHEV. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe PHEV is the second electrified model from Jeep, following the Wrangler Rubicon 4xe PHEV, which Clean Fleet Report tested earlier this year. If you don’t plug-in whenever possible, the fuel economy will be in the low 20s mpg.

Jeep global CEO Christian Meunier closed out 2021 by announcing his brand’s goal of becoming the “zero emission freedom brand,” with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) as its first example. Although the EPA has not as of this writing released the final fuel economy numbers for the US A3 e-tron, Filip Brabec, Director, Product Management, Audi of America, said that the figures will be around 83 to 86 MPGe combined (depending on the equipment level), with 35 to 39 mpg gasoline only and 16-17 miles of EV range.
