The locations of the closures are at Shell stations scattered throughout Northern California, located in San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose and Sacramento. Shell last year acquired EV charging company Volta charge , and the acquisition is expected to help the company massively expand its Shell Recharge network.

There are already spaces in New York City and Los Angeles, and there are now two in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I’m located. The newest Polestar Space just opened in Silicon Valley, at the Westfield Valley Fair, 2855 Stevens Creek Boulevard, San Jose. There’s a second location in Corte Madera in Marin County.

At least GM sent this nifty printed banner explaining all about the new J1772 industry standard recharging plug. At least GM did a Disney display. While GM blows smoke and continues to crank out POS cars that look DOA, Mitshubishi has had their MiEV car here since January getting tested on real roads by SCE.
