It’s been less than two months since Toyota launched the bZ4X, its first mass-produced all-electric SUV, but the Japanese automaker has now initiated a global recall for the vehicle. Among this number, around 2,200 were for Europe, 280 were for North America, 110 were for Japan, and 60 were for the rest of the Asian region.

At the Marrakech Climate Change Conference (COP22), eight nations—Canada, China, France, Japan, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the US— signed a Government Fleet Declaration , pledging to increase the share of electric vehicles in their government fleets and calling for other governments to join them.

The first model to be developed will be based on the current Saab 9-3, which will be modified for electric drive using EV technology from Japan.
