No gas or brake…it crawled on its own and regen brake going down. The auto enthusiast magazine went on to note, “Access to a charger and a commitment to plug in at night, juicing the heavy battery for local use the next day, are musts.”. It just flawlessly dominated a 8-10 level trail. 54k MSRP.

The whole operation could take less than five minutes, pretty much the same amount of time many people spend filling their gas tanks at stations today. Most charge points available today take much longer to re-energize batteries than it does to fill a gas-powered cars tank. The main benefit associated with the swapping model is speed.

We also found magazines ( Utne Reader anyone?) I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. On 13 acres and just a 15 minute drive from the Park’s southern entrance. There was a nice selection of books, especially guides to the flora and fauna of the High Sierras.

Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. By the time he finally, and happily, got rid of it, he said the friggin piece of junk used more gas than his small Honda because tow trucks get crappy milage. Wired Home Subscribe Sections Cars 2.0
