Honda begins production of natural gas vehicles

Honda Manufacturing in Indiana has begun production of the 2009 Civic GX, which is the only natural gas vehicle built by a major automaker in the USA. Its fuel economy statistics are 24mpg in city driving and 36mpg on the highway. It develops 109lb-ft of torque at 4,300rpm and has an average range of more than 220 miles.
