FXI) announced the addition of 11 new ultra-low emission natural gas trucks to the FXI fleet. million in grant funding for the new Kenworth T680 trucks ( earlier post ) which started making deliveries today. The purchase of 46 new trucks represents about 50% of FXI’s California fleet. (SoCalGas) and Food Express, Inc.

This is the first large-scale demonstration of zero-emission Class 8 trucks that involves major manufacturers, including BYD, Kenworth, Peterbilt (both Paccar companies) and Volvo. CALSTART will focus on strategies to help develop the market and commercialize the trucks deployed and tested under this grant.
