Azure Dynamics Corporation announced 29 new Ford Transit Connect Electric sales, including 8 units in Europe and 21 units in North America, which includes a 3-unit reorder from Johnson Controls, Inc. These sales include: Van Bortel Ford in Rochester, NY. Mission Valley Ford in San Jose, CA (2 units).

At least GM sent this nifty printed banner explaining all about the new J1772 industry standard recharging plug. Ford and whatever it is they call Chrysler this week didn’t even bother to show up. Another thing happening right now is the Plug-In movement addressing fleet vehicles. At least GM did a Disney display.

Nearby, in downtown San Jose, the city has reserved street parking for electric vehicles and installed charging stations.
