Prius Plug-In eligibile for a $1,500 California consumer incentive plus $2,500 Federal tax credit

announced that the 2012 Prius Plug-in has been approved for the State of California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program ( CVRP ). Designed to promote the use of Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) and related clean vehicle technologies, the CVRP is a consumer incentive made available in addition to a $2,500 Federal Tax credit.

Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid EPA-certified for 100 MPGe combined; tops Volt and Prius PHV

The new Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid ( earlier post ), which goes on sale in the US this year, is now EPA- certified at 100 miles-per-gallon equivalent (MPGe) combined city and highway, and 108 MPGe in the city. C-MAX Hybrid, available in dealerships this fall, is now EPA-certified at 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined.

Ford prices C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid at $29,995 after federal tax credit; expects conquest rate of about 50%

EPA pegs Ford C-MAX Energi PHEV range at 620 miles

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rated the overall range for Ford’s plug-in hybrid C-MAX Energi at 620 miles (998 km). The Toyota Prius plug-in trails the C-MAX Energi by 80 miles at 540 miles of overall range, and the Chevrolet Volt comes in third at 380 miles.
