The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Southern Company, and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) are together contributing more than $20 million in research funding to support the SouthEast Atmosphere Study (SAS).

Working with Siemens Energy and EPRI, the hydrogen blending test was conducted at Constellation’s Hillabee Generating Station, a three-unit, 753-megawatt combined-cycle natural gas plant in central Alabama that began operating in 2010. Experts from Siemens Energy and EPRI collaborated with Constellation on the fuel blending tests.

We conducted our third annual EV Driver Survey and, through a partnership with EPRI, started conducting quarterly surveys and mini-surveys to dive deeper into specific topics. Working together, the EPA LDV emission and CAFE standards reduce demand for fossil fuels, save drivers money, and provide greater fuel security.

VIA Motors has received its official Certificate of Conformity from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its Extended Range Electric Vehicle (eREV) Van, according to VIA Motors CEO Pablo Acedo. EPA certification means that VIA is now cleared to deliver its VIA eREV Vans to fleet customers across the United States.

Ford Escape PHEV-40 around 2012. Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009.
