Porsche announced that A123 Systems is its technology partner for the development of the energy storage system for the 919 Hybrid LMP1 Le Mans prototype. Porsche also announced Schaeffler Group and Veltins brewery as Official Partners of the works team for the return to the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Porsche Motorsport announced the entry of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid Version 2.0 ( earlier post ) in the ModSpace American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón. Components of the hybrid system are tinted in red. This will mark the second test under race conditions of the new version of the hybrid racer.
