The city of Brighton UK) plans to install 20 Elektrobay roadside charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) over the coming year. Brighton-based Elektromotive developed and manufacturers the innovative Elektrobay charging station, and will be responsible for the implementation of the project.

Elektromotive will complete the installation of its 100th Elektrobay charging station in London by the end of next month. Verifying Elektromotive, a UK-based firm that designs and manufactures electric vehicle charging stations, has been granted a patent for its Elektrobay charging station. Introduced in 2006, the Elektrobay was the first public charging station installed in the UK on the streets of Westminster in London.

UK-based Elektromotive has appointed The PluginCompany to install networks of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Belgium and Luxembourg.
