Used Priuses, especially the Generation 2 that were made from 2004 to 2009 are becoming a bargain to buy, especially for the MPG and features you get in return. The official fuel consumption is 5 l/100 km (47 mpg US) and that is bang on for us as well. l/100 km (51 mpg US) in the summer, and 5.3 l/100 km (44 mpg US) in winter.

According to the Ford marketing team we spoke with at a recent media launch event, their target buyer will be young, female, Hispanic, and urban, including a full hybrid model that may get up to 40 mpg (it hasn’t been certified by the EPA at press time). The 4G LTE WI-Fi hotspot can accommodate up-to 10 devices over a range of 50 feet.

Merc wants the electric smart to perform badly, to have a short range and little power, so that it dosent eat up other products in the lineup. It is probably possible to make a 20k electric smart that outperforms most other cars on the road in everything except range and top speed. and 49 mpg. Follow us on Twitter!
