A distance of 923 km using DC fast charging infrastructure. It was a dark desert highway, and there was cool wind in the hair. We used a constant power of 2-3 bar, did some wind-cheating and reached Jaipur in 2 hrs 45 minutes. I happened to be his first customer - and it was good to have met him in person after so many years.

The last 5% takes much more time - and so if you have another person behind you, you are not expected to do a full charge. Jay’s first EV was the DC motor Reva, which he bought way back in the early 2000s. Wind Sailing at Mysuru! Vikram mentioned that the speed of the boat is a max of 70% of the wind speed.

Indeed as it turned out he knew far more than the President or any member of Congress did on the subject but none of them cared because Gore’s personality and persona didn’t work on TV. The USA got the leap on everyone else with solar, wind and other fossil free energy as well as electric cars and other alternative fuel vehicles.
