People might be bored reading about the Prius but a review on four Priuses (2004, 2005, two 2006s) that my family owns that ran a total of 913k km (570k miles) should be interesting, right? We need to go back to November 2017, to the start of the ‘Prius Revolution’ in the family. This criteria only left the Prius in play.

Required reading: Bill Moore's EVWorld review and Martin Zimmerman's LA Times piece about their test drives of the Toyota Plug-in Prius and the hydrogen fuel cell Highlander FCHV. Third-party and DIY converters can't muck with every system on a car. But you have to want to solve the problem. To take one example, batteries.

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. If you want one now, know that youll spend far more than theyll cost when mass-produced. Though costs are now high, we believe automakers could sell PHEVs for only $2,000-$5,000 more than current hybrids.

Good advertising for Chrysler if theyre willing to take a hit on the cost in order to put a giant EV sticker in multiple locations on each van. I really hope this can be built for a reasonable cost.
