Fisker Automotive. A joint venture between Fisker Coachbuild and Quantum Technologies, Fisker Automotive was founded in 2005 with headquarters in Irvine, California, and has made the Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid sports car its centrepiece. The company hopes to begin selling the Fisker Karma in mid 2010 in Europe.

has fully embraced EVs and, after years of teasing with snazzy concepts, the real hardware is for sale–and is selling well. Coda Automotive , with its warmed-over Chinese sedan, has departed, but Fisker (now Karma) Automotive has revived its high-end plug-in hybrid under new Chinese ownership. The winner will be the customer.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Line breaks and paragraphs are automatically converted — no need to use or tags. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties.

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale. i also would like to see the traditional really small van like cars that deliver normally converted to electric, they never travel that far a distance, always have to come back to the distribution centre and certainly take more then 5 min ( 5 min quick charge electric) to fill with mail again before they go out.
