Ballard Power Systems received an order for additional fuel cell engines from Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC). MW total) are planned for delivery in 2023 and will support the expansion of CPKC’s Hydrogen Locomotive Program. The conversion work will be done at CSX’s Huntington, West Virginia locomotive shop.

A team at the University of Kansas has demonstrated the feasibility of an integrated wastewater algae-to-biocrude process using hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) that can sustainably cultivate algal biomass for biofuel production. A wet whole cell conversion pathway, hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL), has gained popularity in the past few years.

The stations will provide additional CNG fueling in cities and along the Interstate corridors that pass through Kansas City – East to West on I-70 and North to South on I-35.
