Grid sourced electrical energy used to recharge the bus batteries will be augmented with solar energy collected with panels procured and installed under this project. The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG). The project includes 45 E85 and B20 stations, eight propane stations, and 132 electric vehicle recharging sites. Total DOE award: $15,000,000. Total DOE award: $12,975,388. Total DOE award: $12,299,828.

Mr. Moore made available his Papillion home’s historic dryer outlet as a recharging site when the roadtrip reached the vicinity of Omaha, Nebraska. EV conversion technologies have now made these types of vehicles possible and available through affiliates of the EAA, such as CalCars and Plug-in Supply.
