Audi of America also confirmed that it will offer the A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in gasoline electric hybrid (PHEV) model in the US market later in 2014. In electric mode, the A3 Sportback e-tron has a range of about 50 km (31 miles). liters fuel per 100 km (50 mpg US); its CO 2 emissions are 109 grams per km (175g/mile).

The new Sonata Hybrid features an upgraded powertrain incorporating a new hybrid system with a new gasoline direct injection engine that delivers fuel economy of 18.2 km/l (43 mpg US or 5.5 A plug-in hybrid variant—to be Hyundai Motor’s first PHEV—will join the lineup next year. 42 mpg US / 5.7 l/100 km).
