The Prius Prime is a good compromise, providing great gas mileage with a fully electric option for shorter trips. CFR: What drew you to the Prius Prime?

Portland State University (PSU) and its Oregon partners, including Portland General Electric, have been selected by Toyota as one of six groups nationally to demonstrate and evaluate the next-generation Prius Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHV). Portland State University will administer the program regionally.

Car-sharing operator Zipcar and the Westminster City Council in London have launched a new car sharing club fleet that will initially include 20 hybrid vehicles and will offer members access to the country’s first all-electric car club vehicle, a Citroen c1. There are an additional 48 charging points in the council’s secure car parks.

It is aggressively in talks with Portland General Electric Plug-In Charging Stations , ( POR ) and other states including Michigan, and California that are scrambling to offer incentives. Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius. Lastly, hybrids & plug-in hybrids are an unfortunate diversion.
