If we didn’t have enough hurdles to electric vehicle adoption in the US, one of the challenges that drives me absolutely bonkers is the confusing and inconsistent use of charging terminology. To scale up EV adoption we need to increase consumer awareness and understanding of the “electric refueling” process. But nobody else cares. .

Debra Bushweit Galliani in 2013 with our first electric car. We’ve been driving our electric cars on sunshine ever since.

As a comparison, in 2007, the first-generation Golf BlueMotion (Volkswagen’s most fuel-efficient version) was regarded as having sensational gas mileage at 52 mpg—4 mpg worse than the new GTD, which has 79 more horsepower and is 25 mph faster. By comparison, the earlier A6 Golf GTD posted 8.1 Variable valve timing.

The rack and pinion electric power steering was too light for our liking, even though it was progressive, tightening (or becomes heavier) on the open road, While lighter in town. When comparison shopping compact SUVs, if a plusher interior is a pacing item, the Taos may be a bit Spartan.
