I started learning about, writing about, and promoting electric cars in 2007. Debra and I finally got our first electric car, A 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV, a joint production with Tesla, in January of 2013. Debra Bushweit Galliani in 2013 with our first electric car. We’ve been driving our electric cars on sunshine ever since.

Most EV drivers know that during these times of economic crisis, EV running costs are considerably less than those with gas-guzzling internal combustion engines. The rack and pinion electric power steering was too light for our liking, even though it was progressive, tightening (or becomes heavier) on the open road, While lighter in town. When comparison shopping compact SUVs, if a plusher interior is a pacing item, the Taos may be a bit Spartan.

The all-wheel drive 2021 NX 300h is powered by the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, a parallel hybrid system where the electric motor can power the car by itself for short distances, the gas engine can power the car by itself, or they can power the car together. The electric power steering was neutral-to-a-bit-light on the road, but was perfect in-town for parking and maneuvering at slow speeds. Comparison Test: 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, Subaru Ascent, Volkswagen Atlas. We also feature those efficient gas-powered vehicles that are among the top mpg vehicles in their class.
