Colorado has voted to approve a new standard on the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), with an additional goal set for 2032 and new guidance for increasing EV sales beginning in 2027. Coloradans want low- and zero-emissions vehicles because they help them get where they’re going while breathing cleaner air and saving money.

Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, and the Chair of the California Air Resources Board, Mary Nichols, today signed a new cooperation agreement to advance cleaner vehicles and fuels. Canada is currently completing a mid-term review of its light duty vehicle regulations.

Halliburton, one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the energy industry, is deploying nearly 100 light-duty Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks across several field locations in the US. The Ford bi-fuel trucks were recently purchased as part of a pilot program to be rolled out throughout its US operations.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has proposed amending the California Low-Emission Vehicle III Greenhouse Gas Emission Regulation to ensure that cars and light-duty trucks for model years 2022-2025 continue to meet California standards even if Federal standards are frozen. Colorado is also in the process of adopting them.
