Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids. Glad to see the variety & availability of electic commuter cars (vs hybrids & PHEV) is rising. Lastly, hybrids & plug-in hybrids are an unfortunate diversion. The bottleneck is infrastructure.
