We don’t know if the Ioniq 6 will introduce remote connectivity – allowing activating climate control or checking the charge status from your phone – as found in Teslas, for example. They’re a big improvement on the Ioniq 5’s slightly cheap looking and feeling doors. Generous, to say the least.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for balancing as anything on the market is not cheap. They simply need to be connected to each cell only. This looks much cooler in person but thought I'd add a shot with most of the cells now shunting. He had found a few schematics of shunting balancers that people had designed.

But even as a hybrid the Niro doesn’t come particularly cheap. inch infotainment screen, although the addition of satellite-navigation means it drops the wireless smartphone connectivity, with users instead having to plug in if they want to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. None of this quartet is cheap, but all are towards the value end of the EV market. There are also 19-inch wheels and Polestar Connect that can automatically direct emergency services to the vehicle after a crash. There’s one biggie missing from both the Hyundai and Kia: remote connectivity. Sure, there are cheaper options.
