Along with the registration site, the E-Transit electric vans have updated pricing, with a targeted starting MSRP of $43,295 for the cutaway—lower than originally announced—to $52,690 for the high-roof extended-wheelbase cargo van. It will be built alongside the Transit at Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.

In January, Stellantis said its Ram truck brand would start selling the ProMaster EV, a battery-electric model of the ProMaster van that it restyled and updated for 2023. GM’s BrightDrop vans are assembled in Ingersoll, Canada.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Smith Electric Vehicles announced that Smith will open an electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Chicago. Chicago will be Smith’s third location in the United States, joining the headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., Coca-Cola’s pilot deployment of Smith Electric Vehicles has been successful.
