If just one out of five urban residents in Europe permanently changed from driving to cycling, emissions from automobiles would be cut by 8 percent, the study reports. However, there has been public pushback over how to pay for the plan and its push to decrease personal driving by imposing a mileage tax.

It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. Companies can not sell engineering prototypes in which the company got R&D tax breaks in developing the product. Additionally, I had a close frind out in California that just about creamed in his pants when he was able to lease one.
