On a three-day mini-getaway, my wife and I ventured out from our home in Orange County, California, to the Central California seaside town of Shell Beach. Both routes are curvy, winding their way through citrus and avocado groves, with 150 cresting at 6,716 feet. Seems obvious, but it needed to be said.

In the 210 miles we put on the CUV, averaging 65 miles per hour traversing Southern California highways, we had an average of 41.5 Once inside and cruising down the road, wind noise was nearly non-existent, partially due to the low 0.33 The 2023 UX 250h runs on 87 octane and is EPA rated at 43 mpg city/41 highway/42 combined.

In 323 miles driving mostly on Southern California freeways, we averaged 28.2 Tire noise was minimal Wind and road (tire) noise was low, but at times the engine was noisy during stress, such as aggressive acceleration or climbing a grade.
