Think of Presidential state cars, and you’ll probably think of the Cadillac-badged limousine the President Obama uses, a car that many of us know as The Beast. Now an Italian coach-builder has come up with its own take on the Presidential limousine, in the form of an all-electric stretch limousine based on the humble Fiat 500.

President Obama, for example, rides around in a heavy-duty Cadillac nicknamed "The Beast". While state leaders have occasionally been known to appear at a photo call in some modest method of transport, official duties usually see them in something a little more substantial.

As the Obama Administration considers stricter fuel economy regulations, automakers are expected to lower the overall weight of vehicles by approximately 400 pounds (181 kg) per vehicle, and as aluminum use increases, the mix percent is expected to double. Honda leads aluminum content as a percent of curb weight at 10.7%
