In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Honda Sees PHEVs as having "unnecessary fuel engine and fuel tank;" promises all-electrics "assuming we can come up with a really high-performing battery that we are working on currently." BYD also developed the motors and software for the system.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Maybe you should ask some engineers at the local power utility before you go shooting your mouth off, decrying how the idea will never fly. They have several stations already built and plan on thousands more.
