T&E: Denmark, Luxembourg, Netherlands lead deployments of zero-emission buses in Europe

In Luxembourg and the Netherlands about two-thirds of new buses were zero-emissions. Italy, Poland, Germany, the UK, Spain and France, which buy 70% of the urban buses sold in Europe, lag behind. However, Germany is now financing 80% of the higher purchase cost of e-buses.

ZPM launches crowd-sourced funding campaign to build compressed-air cars in US

Zero Pollution Motors (ZPM), the US licensee for Luxembourg-based MDI, the developer of the AirPod compressed-air car ( earlier post , earlier post ), has launched an indiegogo campaign to crowd-source $300,000 to fund US-based production of the AirPod. The campaign runs until 22 March, and so far has raised $349 from 11 funders.

EC Survey finds majority of Europeans willing to compromise on performance, size, range and price to reduce vehicle emissions; 53% say they use car as main mode of transport

EU citizens were the least likely (54%) to say that they would be willing to compromise on purchase price (i.e. Cyprus, Luxembourg, Greece and France were the countries where the largest proportions of respondents were willing to compromise on a car’s speed, size and range, when making a purchase, in order to reduce emissions.
