Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. General Motors Chevy Volt series PHEV, which it calls "extended range electric vehicle" (EREV), part of "E-Flex" multi-fuel platform. People wont buy a full car. They will buy a car and rent or lease the battery and the cost of leasing the battery will be the same as, or less than, the cost theyre paying today for petrol.

For extended range I guess one could carry a fairly modest generator set in the trunk to avoid ever being stranded. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world. use a long range solution. 2024 Polestar 2 Of course, you can still buy a dual motor all-wheel-drive Polestar 2 , but I’m here to tell you that you really don’t need to. Range anxiety? I prefer it to be a polished executive cruiser to chomp through highway kilometres or the daily grind without any range anxiety. Properly banished.
