How I turned a shipping container into a solar off-grid charging station with A/C

Baua Electric

I used pressure-treated 2x4s to build a pair of mounts for the solar panels, each of which would hold three 200W panels. With 1,200W of theoretical power (and probably more like 900W of solid real-world Florida solar energy), that would be a decent flow rate. I started with the solar panels, which would need a frame.

EV Chargers for All!

Cars That Think

Harry’s 200-unit condominium building in Minneapolis, Minn., There were two Level 2 charging stations about six blocks away in a grocery store parking lot, but that was not a convenient or reliable option. They rejected my request to allow cyclists to hose off their bikes in the alley behind the building, which cost nothing.

Voltage surge and transient suppression in EV chargers

Charged EVs

Although it is not practical to fully harden an electronic device against a direct lightning strike with peak amplitudes in the 100s of megavolts and kiloamperes range, the chances of such happening are also vanishingly remote, fortunately (even here in Florida). The most obvious example of this is when a motor is switched on or off.

What Robotics Experts Think of Tesla’s Optimus Robot

Cars That Think

What excites me is the idea of cheap and accessible hardware! And this could come from behind-the-scenes use cases for robot manipulation, in warehouses, retail stores, food preparation, and manufacturing. The prototype they have created will serve as an excellent beginning platform for them to learn from and to build upon.

Slow start for charge of the electric cars - Times Online

Tony Karrer Delicious EVdriven

Cheap to run but expensive to buy, they offer theprospect of low or zero carbon emissions, but manufacturers won’t sell themunless motorists want to buy them – and motorists won’t buy unless the priceis right and there are enough places to charge the batteries. So the car uses an electrical store to power the drive motor.
